LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- UC Irvine women's soccer made history again upsetting No. 1 UCLA, 1-0, Friday night in Wallis Annenberg Stadium in their NCAA First Round matchup

- The game-winning goal came in the 87th minute as Aislynn Crowder served a set piece into the box to Alyssa Moore heading it off the right post and in for the 1-0 lead
- UCI shutdown the top-seeded Bruins for a second time in three years and win their opening-round matchup for a third straight year over a national seed
- UCI is only the second team to defeat a No. 1 seed in the first round in NCAA Tournament history
- Glo Hinojosa and the defense weathered the Bruins attack seeing 22 shots and turning away the five on target. It's her 31st career shutout tying the program's record set by her assistant coach, Danielle de Seriere
- UC Irvine felt the pressure after a second yellow card to Chloe Ragon and she was sent off leaving the 'Eaters down a player for the final 15 minutes of the match
- The Anteaters continue their first-round dominance now 4-0-1 all-time in the NCAA First Round
- UCI has now dealt the Bruins their last two losses in their home stadium
