LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team competed at the Challenge Cup Friday in Long Beach.

The Anteaters finished the scored meet in fourth with 107 points.

Noah Holm remained unbeaten in the shot put this season, picking up his fifth win in as many competitions. Holm placed first with a toss of 55-04.75, while teammate
Kyle Tsu was the runner-up at 53-11.
Jacob Hawkins (49-05.75) and
Quincy Stokes (48-09.5) were also sixth and seventh, respectively.

The 'Eaters earned their second event win of the meet in their final race on the track. In the 4x400,
Malcolm Overbaugh,
Ty Sheridan,
Josh Farmer and
Eric Parker combined for a season-best 3:10.53, coming in nearly four seconds ahead of UC Santa Barbara.

Drew Pickett had a pair of top-three performances in the hurdles. In the 110H, he ran a personal-record 14.35 to claim runner-up honors and rank 10th in program history. Pickett also took third in the 400H with a lifetime-best 54.53.

Parker came in second in the 400m, crossing the finish line in a season-best 48.06. Sheridan wasn't far behind in fourth, notching a lifetime best for the second weekend in a row at 48.30.

Despite running into a slight headwind, Sheridan added another PR and a fourth-place showing in the 200m, clocking in at 21.76.
Malcolm Overbaugh was also sixth (21.86).

Miles Duncan was the runner-up in the 800m where he established a personal-best 1:51.45, while
Carlo Reyes registered a season-best 10.82 to place third in the 100m.

Jacob Bustamante led a trio of Anteaters in the 1500m, running a season-best 3:57.92.

In the long jump,
Seth Enochs posted a wind-aided season-best 23-11.75 on his second attempt. That held as his top mark of the competition and put him in second overall.

Tsu was UCI's top finisher in the discus, coming in fourth at 166-03. Hawkins (165-09) and Holm (164-10) were fifth and sixth, respectively.

Josh Farmer cleared a season-best 6-03.25 in the high jump (4th), while Stokes was seventh in the hammer (169-01).

Holm, Hawkins and Tsu will be right back in action tomorrow as they head to the Triton Invitational in La Jolla, California, to compete in the discus.
