Requests and Policies
- Working credentials for UC Irvine Athletic home events must be requested through the form below at least 24 hours prior to the event.
- Each individual member of a media organization who would like credential access must submit a request form by the editor or assignment editor
- Media credentials may be issued to working journalists and photographers from legitimate and recognized news outlets. These include newspapers, magazines, news services, sport-specific publications, television/radio/college SIDs, and affiliated websites.
- Internet-only sites will only be considered and approved if they regularly report on college or professional sports or related news. Preference is given to online media outlets with a demonstrated audience and a history of event-based coverage of the sport.
- Freelancers must provide documentation of assignment from a legitimate and recognized news outlet.
- Media credentials for coverage of UC Irvine Athletics programs are issued at the sole discretion of the Athletics Communications office. Credentials are granted on a case-by-case basis, space permitting, to reporters and employees of media outlets affiliated with major news-gathering organizations, on specific assignment.
