'Eaters Head to Winner's Bracket with 7-5 Win

- The 'Eaters got on the board first putting the first three on base and Anthony Martinez got an RBI on a single for the 1-0 lead
- UCI made it a 2-0 lead as Jacob McCombs rocket groundout brought home Colin Yeaman
- Chase Call deposited a single into left center for a 3-0 first inning
- The Rainbow Warriors came back with two runs in their second inning, but couldn't get the tying run in stranding them
- UCI put up three more runs in the second thanks to a groundball under the second baseman's glove to score two more, and another McCombs grounder added the third run to lead 6-2
- The pitching and defense stepped up the next four innings with zeroes all over the scoreboard
- Riley Kelly got out of a pair of jams pitching into the fifth inning and striking out five
- Ricky Ojeda came on in relief going three innings to secure another win to improve 13-0
- Hawai'i drew within one with a three-run home run in the seventh inning making it a 6-5 game
- Max Martin closed the door five of his six batters with three strikeouts and leaving the tying run at home plate for his 14th save
- Will Bermudez paced the offense reaching base all five times with a pair of hits, runs, and an insurance RBI in the eighth
- Martinez and McCombs had four RBIs between them with just one hit
- The 'Eaters hit the 40-win mark with the victory marking the second straight season, 10th season overall, and third time under head coach Ben Orloff in his seventh season.
