Anteaters Celebrate Senior Day with 10-7 Win

- A see-saw game through the first three innings saw both teams hold a lead in a 3-3 tie
- UCI broke through with a four-run fifth inning highlighted by Efren Ortega's two-run double off the wall to go ahead, 7-3
- Zach Crandall added a two-run single to build the lead to 9-3 at one point
- The Roadrunners battled back to close the gap to 9-6, but Peyton Rodgers kept the advantage striking out the side in the sixth
- Fifth-year righty Danny Suarez picked up the win after handling a bulk of the game and striking out five over four innings
- Rodgers was effective striking out four in two innings allowing just one run
- Ricky Ojeda closed out a clean ninth inning for his third save of the year
- Offensive contributions were seen up and down the lineup in a game UCI scored six times in eight at-bats
- Zach Crandall had two hits and two RBIs and was joined by Zach Fjelstad and Tommy Farmer each with two hits
- Ortega drove in three and reached twice
- Senior Alonso Reyes scored twice as did Lucas Schermer and Daniel Polasek
- Seniors Auggie Gutierrez and James Castagnola also had RBI singles on the day
