Back And Forth
- The match began fairly even with neither side breaking through quite yet. A wayward LBSU shot and a pair of corner kicks were all to be shown from the first 20 minutes
- The second corner kick got the ball rolling for the hosts
- In the 21st minute, the kick was sent in to Ameera White who volleyed it back toward the near post right to Jordan Candelaria to slide it through the Anteater goalline defense and take a 1-0 lead
- UC Irvine's response came swiftly just over seven minutes later
- The attack had built as they looked for a way in. Suus de Bakker's entrance was blocked along the left wing for Mia Colombini to collect
- Colombini track back into the box and got a good look slicing a shot around the defense and inside the far post for the tying goal, 1-1, in the 28th minute
- The opportunities to break the tie again were plenty down the final half hour
- Long Beach State put a pair on goal in the 25th and 38th minutes that Laurynn Ziller was able to collect

- Haysman Boaler was up for the lead, but her shot was saved by the LBSU keeper and the match remaining 1-1
- LBSU had their best chances of the half as the 85th minute was upon us
- Ziller handled a shot through traffic in the 85th minute
- Less than a minute later, Ziller and the defense were out near the edge of the box as LBSU's Kailey Supa made it a dicey situation ending in a deflection off Ziller out high
- A last gasp with 17 seconds left came for Long Beach State near the halfway line lofted into the box that was bounded back and forth without any dangerous threat as the time ran out
