January 28, 2025 | Women's Soccer
IRVINE, Calif.-- UC Irvine women's soccer began their buildup to the 2025 season in November with their newest group of signings as we introduce them starting today with Fiona Shin.
Shin specializes in the attacking third at times as a forward and midfielder. She helped Mira Costa High School to a league title in 2024 as the squad reach the CIF semifinal and Regional semifinal. On the club level, Shin was consistently a player to know while with Beach Futbol Club in the ECNL. She also participated with the Olympic Developmental Pool state team as well as an id2 selection and a U.S. Player Development Program invite.
"I chose UCI because I fell in love with the amazing community, coaches, esteemed academics, and its soccer program. I immediately felt at home the minute I walked on campus. It is the perfect place for me to learn and grow not only as a soccer player but also as a student and person."
