· The Anteaters completed non-conference play with a win pulling out an 80th-minute game-winner on the road at Pacific. UCI finishes 2-4-2, 1 of 3 Big West schools with four or more non-conference results. UCI is still in the midst of a 28-day road trip with a draw at Washington State and win at Pacific before the final match Thursday at UC San Diego.
· Laila El Behery had a monster match at Pacific. Her career-best five points mark the first for an Anteater since 2021 as she scored her first career brace, added her third career assist on the other goal, and finished it off with her second career game-winning goal.
· Other notables from Pacific include the first career point, an assist, by Chifumi Sasaki
· Anteater milestones continue to fall in 2024:
Þ Emilie Castagna played in her 50th match as an Anteater, raising the program total to 102 all-time with 50+ matches. Aislynn Crowder and Chloe Ragon have reached 60 collegiate matches. Next match will be the 50th for Crowder as an 'Eater and two more for Mihaela Perez
Þ Kiera Smeenge and Desiree Mendoza each eclipsed 70 matches as an Anteater. Smeenge's next start will also be her 70th becoming the 18th Anteater to reach that mark
Þ Lawson Willis' next match will be her 80th in her collegiate career while standing 31 minutes from 5,000 career minutes
Þ Minutes milestones are falling with Kiera Smeenge eclipsing 5,000 career minutes this year and five 'Eaters have eclipsed 3,000 minutes this season.
#TeamJenika Returns to the Pitch
· Anteater junior Jenika Davis returned to the pitch vs. Arizona for the first time since being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2022. She received treatment and then a transplant in March 2023 through National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). She was honored September 21st, 2023 with that month's CalHOPE Courage Award

Thursday at the Tritons
· UC Irvine and UC San Diego kick off Big West play on Thursday with 10 of the 11 Big West schools playing their opening Big West match this week. This season is significant for UCSD as they're eligible for postseason play for the first time. This is the 18th all-time meeting between the programs with UCSD ahead in the series, 10-2-5. More importantly, they've held UCI in check in the three matches since becoming Division I with a win and two draws.
· The 2023 matchup was a 0-0 draw in Anteater Stadium. The sides have played two straight draws including Gianna Creighton's lone career goal making the 2022 matchup at UCSD a 1-1 affair. Last year, UCI had the advantage 11-6 in shots and five of the six on frame in addition to a crossbar connection by Alyssa Moore
· The Tritons come into Big West action with a 2-5-1 mark in non-conference play. Two similar opponents in San Francisco (L, 0-3) and Washington State (T, 1-1) between the squads in addition to four one-goal losses by schools like Cal and Pepperdine. The attack runs behind Raquel Kalpakoff (4 G) and Courtney Hilliard (2 G, 3 A) despite being outshot in nearly every match, and Bella Barretto has played the last three matches in net going 1-1-1 (2 GA, 13 Sv)
