Anteater Newcomer: Kamryn Taylor

| By:
IRVINE, Calif.-- UC Irvine women's soccer's next freshman newcomer joins the program from Northern California with the addition of Kamryn Taylor.

Taylor is coming off a league title at Franklin High School as an Elk Grove, Calif. native. She was also a contributor on the track & field team running the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay.

The outside back parlayed her soccer success to the club level as well being part of Blackhawks Soccer Club. The squad won the Surf Cup in 2022 and last year was a finalist at the State Cup.

Taylor has a chance to make a big difference for the Anteaters, but is also primed to make an impact off the field as an accomplished member of the Vocal Ensemble in high school, and aspires to use her education to find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Head Coach Scott Juniper sees the potential as well. "Kamryn is a natural wide player who can play as an outside back or wide attacker on both sides of the ball. She is extremely versatile, athletic, competitive, and coachable. Anteater fans will love watching her fly up and down the wing."
