'Eaters Showcase Full 2024 Schedule

IRVINE, Calif. --- Anteater baseball is back with a 2024 schedule featuring 28 home games, seven different conferences visiting #TheCis, and it all starts with Opening Day in Anteater Ballpark.
For the sixth time in the last eight seasons, UC Irvine baseball opens up in Anteater Ballpark with a familiar face on the docket, North Dakota State, a side UCI locked horns with in the 2021 Stanford Regional.
The opening series is followed by a Tuesday matchup with San Diego, one of six midweek home matchups including the first three against USD, a matchup with California Baptist for the first time since 1988, and Big EAST champion and 44-win UConn on a Wednesday, March 13 for a healthy start to the year for UCI.
UCI makes a return trip to Tulane in the season's second weekend after the Green Wave began the 2022 season in Anteater Ballpark and rode that all the way to an American Athletic Conference Tournament title and NCAA berth.
The jewel of the non-conference slate opens the month of March with a pair of home games Friday vs. San Diego and Saturday vs. Michigan to begin the Dodgertown Classic. It culminates in a second-ever trip to play in Dodger Stadium Sunday, March 3, finishing up the weekend classic vs. UCLA.
The 'Eaters play their final non-conference games before Big West starts with a four-pack in Fresno. UCI starts with a Thursday night matchup against Fresno State before a Friday doubleheader with a second game against the Bulldogs and a neutral-site matchup with Columbia from the Ivy League. The weekend comes to an end Saturday with a second game against Columbia.
UCI takes a break from Big West play on April 19 with a three-game series against San Diego State. The 'Eaters and Aztecs will play Friday and Sunday in Anteater Ballpark with the Saturday night matchup being played down at SDSU's Tony Gwynn Stadium.
The midweek matchups play out with home-and-homes down the stretch against LMU, USC, and UCLA and a return to play USD for a third time.
All Anteater home games will also be broadcast via ESPN+ and simulcast on KUCI 88.9 for radio and kuci.org.
