IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team will send seven student-athletes to the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational Saturday in San Diego.
The one-day meet will be held at PLNU Track and Field on the campus of Point Loma Nazarene. Competing for the 'Eaters are Kyle Tsu, Noah Holm, Justin Willingham, Jacob Hawkins, Quincy Stokes, Liam Miksic and Josh Farmer. Action gets underway at 9 a.m.
Through the first two meets, the throws squad has established a pair of marks that rank among UCI's all-time top-10. Noah Holm moved up to No. 4 in school history in the discus with a toss of 183-06 at the Beach Opener. Liam Miksic is also fifth in the javelin (since 1986) with a PR 196-10.
Holm is unbeaten in the shot put with individual victories at the Beach Opener and at last week's UCSB Invitational where he notched a season-best 56-09.5. Kyle Tsu also took first in the discus with a season-best 171-02 in Santa Barbara.
Josh Farmer, a 2021 USTFCCCA All-American in the decathlon, is set to compete in four events - shot put, discus, javelin and the 110m hurdles.
UP NEXT: UC Irvine will be back in action next week at the Texas Relays (March 24-26), as well as UCLA's Bob Larsen Invitational (March 25) and Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational (March 26).
