TACOMA, Wash. – Megan Yang continued her stellar play on the first day of the Pat Lesser Harottle Invitational at the Tacoma Country Club and is just one shot off the lead.

Yang is tied second place after carding a two-round total of 142 (73-69). She was one over on the first round with three birdies then fired six birdies for a second round of 69. It is Yang's third sub-70 round in five rounds this season. Yang is tied with three others in second place, just one shot off the leader Hailey Loh of California Baptist (141).

Freshman Jasmine Chen (75-74) and sophomore Nicole Zhang (74-75) are tied for 35^th place with a score of 149. Sophomore Charlotte Ryoo is tied for 60^th at 152 (76-76), while freshman Kiana Briggs is tied for 81^st place with a 155 total (78-77).

As a team, UCI is eighth with a score of 592 (298-294).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday starting with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
