IRVINE, Calif. -- A trio of UC Irvine women's golfers earned All-Big West recognition as selected by the league coaches.
Sophomore Katelyn Kong was selected to the second team, while graduate student Jenny Chang and sophomore Katherine Gerbing were named honorable mention.
Kong led the Anteaters with a 72.75 scoring average over 24 rounds. She was named Big West Golfer of the Month for October after firing a career-low 67 on the first round of the Golf Iconic Classic, which tied for sixth-lowest round all-time at UCI. On the year, the sophomore posted three Top 10 finishes, including a fourth-place performance at the Molly Collegiate Invitational (218). She was an honorable mention choice as a freshman.
Chang led UCI at the Big West Championship with a 10th place finish (218), her second Top 10 showing of the year. She also led UCI at the San Diego State Classic, recording a season-low 213 for fourth place on the strength of carding a career-best 68 on the first round. Chang, who owned a 73.62 scoring mark over 26 rounds, led the Anteaters at three tournaments, the most on the team.
Gerbing had two Top 10 finishes, leading the team at the Silicon Valley Showcase in a tie for ninth place and a score of 218. She shot a season-low of 69 on the second round of the Golf Iconic Classic. Gerbing played 18 rounds in 2025-26 and recorded a 74.06 scoring average. This is Gerbing's second Big West honor, garnering second team accolades last year.
