
Anteaters End Fall With Season-Best Round Of 290

BOULDER CITY, NV –UC Irvine concluded the fall schedule with a 10th place finish at The Clash at Boulder Creek held at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
After back-to-back rounds of 297, the Anteaters had a season-best round of 290, totaling 884 over three days. UCI had 46 birdies, fourth best among tournament teams.
Freshman Jasmine Chen led UCI with a score of 218 (75-68-75), including a career-best 68 on the second round. She was tied for 24th place, the best finish of her young career.
Freshman Kiana Briggs was tied for 29th with a 54-hole total of 220 (72-74-74), her best career performance as well.
Megan Yang was under par on the final round with a score of 70, carding six birdies, including five on the back nine Tuesday. She finished in a tie for 40th with a total of 222 (75-77-70).
Sophomore Charlotte Ryoo had a season-low 71 today and was tied for 56th with a score of 227 (78-78-71). Sophomore Nicole Zhang was tied for 61st with a 228 total (75-78-75).
Nevada ran away with the title, posting a 25-under 839, paced by medalist Victoria Gailey (207).
The Anteaters will start the spring schedule in Bakersfield at The Valley Invitational Feb. 6-7 at the Bakersfield Country Club.
