UC Irvine Women's Golf Welcomes Talented Duo

IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine head women's golf coach Margo Dionisio rounded out her 2026-27 team with the signing of transfers Madeline Lee and Obi Chan.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Madeline and Obi to our program," Dionisio said. "Both bring valuable collegiate experience that will strengthen our lineup and elevate the competitiveness of our team. Beyond their talent, they are outstanding individuals who will be a great fit for our culture and family. We're excited for the impact they will have both on and off the course as we pursue championships and continue building a winning program."
Madeline Lee / So. / Arcadia, Calif. / Cal State Fullerton
Lee comes to UCI after competing for Cal State Fullerton last season. She played two tournaments for the Titans coming in 47th at the Yale Invitational West Invitational. She also played in the ASU/PING Invitational. Lee was prepped at Arcadia High School where she was three-time Pacific League selection. She earned the Scholar-Athlete Award three times as well as AP Scholar with Honors and AP Scholar with Distinction.
Obi Chan / So. / Hong Kong, China / Baylor
Chan is a transfer from Baylor who played in both the Rainbow Wahine Invitational and The Bear Crawl for the Bears last season. Chan, who hails from Hong Kong, logged 18 top-5s worldwide finishes as a Junior, including a victory at the Asia Junior International open. She was second at the Coca-Cola Junior Championships and was tied for 13th at the FCG Callaway World Championship. Chan was ranked as high as 973 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
