'Eaters Set for NCAA Second Round Action Friday

FAIRFAX, VA --- UC Irvine women's soccer's NCAA Second Round matchup is locked in as they will travel to George Mason University to play Wisconsin this Friday, November 19.
The match will kick off at 10:30 a.m. PST (1:30 p.m. EST) with the 'Eaters and Badgers battling in a first-ever meeting between schools. The winner will advance to the Third Round that will be played at Georgetown on Sunday, November 21, with that match time still TBA.

UCI is fresh off a First Round upset of No. 2 UCLA on Friday to advance to the NCAA Second Round for a second time in the program's third appearance in the NCAA Tournament. With her efforts, Glo Hinojosa was named Player of the Week by Top Drawer Soccer.
UCI reached the tournament by winning the Big West Tournament and claiming a share of the Big West regular season title. It enters Friday with a 16-5 record, second-highest win total in a season in program history, and will look to reach the NCAA Third Round for a second time in program history behind the Big West Offensive Player of the Year, Scarlett Camberos, Big West Goalkeeper of the Year Glo Hinojosa, and Big West Defensive Player of the Year, Maddy Chavez.
