IRVINE, Calif. --- As UC Irvine baseball enters its 41st season of play, it harkens back to the first 40 years of Anteater baseball with an ode to the teams of the 70s and 80s with its new adidas Heritage uniform.

The Anteaters entered college baseball on the Division II level, and rolled straight into five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances culminating in national titles in 1973 and 1974 under UC Irvine first head coach, Gary Adams
 

The 'Eaters brought its winning ways to the Division I level making the move in 1978 and bringing with it their signature UC Irvine look.


 

Now the Anteaters have returned to their roots in 2019 with a throwback to the original squads of the 70s and 80s with help from adidas with these Heritage Collection uniforms.
