Pallante Scores Third Team All-American Honors

IRVINE, Calif. --- Baseball American unveiled their All-American teams for 2018 complete with Anteater starter Andre Pallante on the third team.
It's the first honor for Pallante who gives the Anteaters a honoree in consecutive years following Keston Hiura's selection in 2017. UC Irvine has had six players all-time honored by Baseball American which includes Andrew Morales, Matt Summers, and Scott Gorgen twice.
Pallante was recently named All-Big West First Team after leading the conference with 10 wins. His 1.60 ERA also led the conference and was sixth-best in the nation. Over 101.1 innings in his sophomore campaign, Pallante struck out the second-most batters in the Big West with 115 which has already earned him a spot on the U.S. Collegiate National Team this summer and a place among the nation's top five pitchers as a finalist from the National College Baseball Hall of Fame
