Konnor Zickefoose Named Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. – Konnor Zickefoose has been named the Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week following his solid offensive outing against UC Riverside.
In what would be a 12-2 Anteater victory, Zickefoose came prepared to make an impact. The redshirt sophomore wasted no time as he drove in two runs within the first inning to get the Anteaters' on the board. Zickefoose went on to finish the evening with a team-leading three hits in five at-bats along with two RBI's.
This performance helped cap off a special night as UCI honored their head coach Mike Gillespie as he is set to retire as the program's winningest coach.
UCI looks to finish out their season as they head north for a three-game home stand against UC Davis starting on Thursday (May 24) at 2:30 pm.
