Hiura Earns First Team All-American Nod from College Sports Madness

A second All-American nod in as many days for the junior
IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine took home another All-American honor representing on the First Team from College Sports Madness.
The junior utility player hit .442 with an on-base percentage of .567 to lead the nation in each strictly as a designated hitter. It's the second All-American accolade he's picked up joining yesterday's love from the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper
Hiura was honored on four Freshman All-American teams in 2015, and had multiple Preseason All-American honors entering both his sophomore and junior seasons. He's joined on the squad with one other Big West player, however he stands alone on the First Team. Hiura has also brought home Big West Field Player of the Year honors and is a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award.
