UNC: Wood was a member of the 2008 National Championship squad at the University of North Carolina...played in 65 matches while at UNC starting in 25 totalling five goals and nine assists...earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament each year making it as far as the third round in each run...was awarded the Eprit de Wolverine for Advanced Composition...made the ACC Academic Honor Roll list twice.
Club: Wood played for Slammers FC from 2004-07 before finishing at OJSC in 2008...played under Coach Juniper's coaching in the Cal South Olympic Development Pool (ODP)...was also a member of the U-17 and U-20 national teams.
Prep: Wood was an All-American and two-time league champion at Aliso Niguel High School...was named All-CIF, all-county twice, and all-league four times including South Coast League MVP in 2008...two-time team captain was named the No. 3 recruit in the 2008 by RISE magazine...ran track for one year and was consistently on the honor roll.
Personal: Majoring in psychology...involved with Invisible children, Habitat for Humanity, and SJSA camps...parents are Ted and Cindy Wood.
