First Half Fair Play
- The attack was on display for either side putting up quality shots including shots on target for each side's first shot of the game
- The Anteaters continued their attack and put the pressure on Fresno State's defense before breaking through in the 32nd minute
- Throw-ins off the touchline made it into the box as Fiona Shin drove to the goalline and fed to Clara Samson whose skill in a tight space resulted in a goal by the near post and a 1-0 UCI lead
- Fresno State found the perfect response putting home their own in the 38th minute
- A nice building left Katie Morris with some space whose through ball found Tatiana Saunders to find daylight and sink the equalizer, 1-1
- The sides went into the break even despite UCI advantages in shots, 9-2, and corners, 5-1
- The second half began with an Anteater debut - graduate transfer Sara Paul began the half in net for her first minutes for the Anteaters and as a Division I athlete.
- Her teammates quickly had her back gaining the lead back in the 49th minute
- Jasmyne Wheeler served a long cross through the attacking third right to Oona Hartman who cut inside and fired pinging the far post and in for the 2-1 lead
- UCI was close to another a few times, but it was Hartman again with the magic touch
- This time Mimi Yamamoto gained possession on the right wing and served up a cross right to Hartman who headed it near post and in for the second of the match - 3-1 in the 69th minute
- The icing on top came in the 81st minute with a ball cleared up high that Fiona Shin way the race to and sent a volley into the upper left for the 4-1 lead
- Sara Paul in her first Division I minutes also picked up her first career win. She did not face any shots on goal while starter Savanna Arruda had the lone save in the match
- Oona Hartman's goals were the first two of her career for the junior and first-year Anteater. The first goal went down as the game-winning goal
- Other goalscorers Samson and Shin each put away the third of their careers with Shin now two on the year while Samson collected her first point of 2026
- Assists went to four Anteaters
- Shin added one for a three-point night and she now leads the team in points this year with five
- Ariane Haysman Boaler assisted on the game-winner giving her three this year and assists in consecutive matches
