WALNUT, Calif. - Esmeray Demirbas led the UC Irvine women's track & field team on the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.

Demirbas ran a personal-record 57.81 for a top-eight showing in the Elite section of the 400m hurdles. Her time ranks second in program history. It was a successful weekend for Demirbas who was also part of the Anteaters' 4x400 relay that broke the school record yesterday.

In the long jump,
Reyna Johnson finished with a best of over 20 feet for the third time in her fourth competition this season. Johnson placed seventh overall at 6.10 meters (20-0.25).
Kailah McKenzie added a mark of 6.00m (19-8.25).

DeAna Davis took eighth out of 26 in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.17 meters (184-3).

LONG BEACH, Calif. - UC Irvine women's track & field also wrapped up action at the Beach Invitational Saturday at Jack Rose Track.

Anna Vogtmann led a trio of Anteaters in the 1500m where she placed third overall. Vogtmann crossed the finish line in 4:36.17.
Olivia Liuson (4:44.83) was also eighth.

Kaitlene Ofilan registered UCI's top time of the day in the 800m as she clocked a personal-record 2:17.24.

In the throws,
Nyla Baker was among the top-20 in a discus field of 79 athletes. She led four 'Eaters with a toss of 46.17m (151-5).
Nadia Combs-Mahone also paced UC Irvine in the shot put at 13.28m (43-7).

UCI will have a week off before returning to Anteater Stadium to host the Steve Scott Invitational, May 2-3.
