December 12, 2025 | Women's Soccer
IRVINE, Calif.-- UC Irvine women's soccer began their buildup to the 2026 season this December with a signing of Taylor Esparza to the program.
"Taylor is a wonderful player with the kind of qualities that we love here at UCI," praised head coach Scott Juniper. "She's smart, determined, and lives with a no-limits mindset. I can't wait to work with her in January with our exciting 2026 squad!"
Β
The Rancho Cucamonga-native is an attacking presence for Legends FC ECNL and Los Osos High School. She reached the ECNL National Championship finals with her club and has also earned callups to the U.S. Youth National Team camps.
"One of my favorite quotes is 'If you're afraid to fail, you'll never succeed', and here at UCI, they embody that growth mindset. What drew me to UCI was their unapologetic competitive environment and their seamless integration of all their staff and facilities. It is one big family and I am so proud to be apart of that."
