Anteaters Take On Field At Golf Iconic Classic

OFF THE TEE
UC Irvine completes the Fall schedule at the Golf Iconic Classic Monday-Wednesday (Oct. 13-15) at the New Mexico State Golf Course.
Teams will play 18 holes each day starting with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start.
Participating teams inlcude Boise State, Eastern Kentucky, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Jacksonville State, Long Beach State, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Sacramento State, San Diego State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, UC Riverside, UT Arlington, UTEP and host New Mexico State.
The Anteater lineup features Katelyn Kong, Katherine Gerbing, Jenny Chang, HaYoung Lee, Alona Avery
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
UCI finished the Marilyn Smith Sunflower Invitational in sixth place with a two-day total of 899 (306-291-302) at the Lawrence Country Club.
Sophomore Katelyn Kong posted her second consecutive Top 10 finish with a sixth place showing. She had a 54-hole total of 218, carding the team's lowest score of the tournament with an even-par 71 on the final round.
Senior Kiana Briggs and sophomore Katherine Gerbing followed in a tie for 25th place (226).
