IRVINE, Calif.-- UC Irvine women's soccer's next freshman newcomer is a game changer on the back line in Alissey Fang.
Â
Fang comes to Irvine from enemy territory in Long Beach where she attended Millikan High School and Slammers FC. With Millikan, she was part of three league champion squads as both an outside and center back. She led the team in assists in 2024 pushing her to First Team all-league, and was honored as 2024 Game Changer of the Year by the program. Her skill poured over onto the club lever as well earned All-ECNL accolades.
Fang brings even more off the field like hiking and baking as some of her interests. Her academics are very important to her with biology as a her favorite school subject. She's also been active in her school community founding an organization, The Prom Spot, that helps girls participate in school events like prom without financial burdens.
All of this emphasizes her versatility in life and on the field for the Anteaters as head coach
Scott Juniper can see. "Alissey can play multiple positions across the back line and midfield as a result of her broad foundation of attributes and soccer IQ."
