Logan Peyton kicked off action at the Mt. SAC Relays with an individual victory in the collegiate section of the men's javelin Thursday evening at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.

Peyton was in eighth place after registering a best of 54.37 meters (178-4) through his first three attempts. It was enough to get him into the finals where he started to move up the leaderboard with marks of 59.29m (194-6) and 60.67m (199-0). On his sixth and final throw, the Oregon native unleashed a personal-record 65.93m (216-3) for the win. Peyton also moved up to No. 2 in program history.

Junior
Liam Miksic claimed runner-up honors with an impressive series. Miksic, who threw for over 62 meters on five of his six attempts, registered his top mark of the meet on his fifth throw, hitting 65.41m (214-7).
