Big West Championship Underway For Women's Golf

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- UC Irvine started the Big West Championship in seventh place after the first round at Spanish Trail Country Club Sunday.
UCI had a team total of 309, 17 shots behind leader Cal Poly (292).
Megan Yang had a pair of birdies and finished with a score of 75 and is tied for 14th place. Jasmine Chen is tied for 22nd with a score of 77, while Charlotte Ryoo is tied for 27th place at 78, Kiana Briggs is tied for 30th with a total of 79 and Nicole Zhang is tied for 41st with a round of 84.
The Anteaters will play with Hawaii and CSUN Tuesday. Tee times start at 9:00 a.m.
