UC Irvine Secured The 4-0 Win Over HIU

FULLERTON, Calif. – UC Irvine secured the 4-0 win over Hope International University in Friday's matinee.

The match was played clinch-clinch, leaving several individual games unfinished.
 
Asha Gidwani and Larissa Teramura assumed the No. 2 and No. 5 spots, each not allowing their opponent to score to win in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
 
At the sixth position, Carolyna Fowler earned her second consecutive win in singles play, going 6-1 in both sets for the victory.

Nour Khayat saw her collegiate debut at No. 3 doubles with partner Alyssia Fossorier and won 6-0.

The duo of Gidwani and Amanda Perez improved to 6-2 in doubles play with their 6-0 win today and are on a three-match win streak.

"Great job from our team today," said assistant coach Benjamin Cook. "It was great to pick up this win before we hit the road head to the east coast for a few matches! Hope International came ready to play us and we handled the challenge well and we were able to play our games and dictate the points to victory."
