IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine's Yen Nhi Huynh, Carolyna Fowler and Amanda Perez all claimed All-Big West Second Team honors, the Big West announced on Thursday. Huynh earned a spot on the Singles Team, while Fowler and Perez teamed up for recognition on the conference's Doubles Team.
Huynh earned All-Big West honors for the second time in two years after being recognized for her doubles play on the conference's Second Team in 2024-25. Every dual match the sophomore played in during the 2025-26 season was on the No. 1 line, winning nine matches with a 4-2 record in Big West play.
Earning All-Big West honors for their play in doubles, Fowler and Perez combined for eight wins in the 2026 dual match season, going 3-2 in conference play while playing each match at the No. 1 line. In UC Irvine's biggest home match of the season and the pair's Senior Day, Fowler and Perez combined for a unique match-clinching doubles victory over #73 Cal Poly to finish off a 4-3 Anteater win.
The honor is Perez's first time being named to an All-Big West team, while it is Fowler's second time earning the recognition after pairing with Huynh on the 2024-25 Second Team.
UC Irvine closed its winningest season since 2018-19 with a first-round berth in the Big West Championship.
