Anteaters Move Up To Sixth At Rainbow Wahine Invitational

KAPOLEI, O'ahu -- UC Irvine moved up one spot and is in sixth place at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational after 36 holes.
The Anteaters shot a 290 Tuesday at the Kapolei Golf Club and have a two-round total of 600.
Sienna Lyford was consistent, posting 15 pars plus two birdies, on her way to a one under par 71 Tuesday. The senior is tied for 11th with a 36-hole score of 146 (75-71). She is fourth among tournament participants with 25 pars.
Angela Bagasbas climbed six spots to 17th after shooting even par 72. The senior had four birdies during the second round and has a score of 149 (77-72).
Freshman Nicole Zhang is tied for 25th with a score of 152 (78-74), while junior Megan Yang is tied for 28th at 153 (80-73). Yang started the day with four consecutive birdies. Junior Olivia Canales is tied for 36th with a two-day score of 157 (80-77).
The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 18 holes. The Anteaters are paired with fellow Big West teams CSU Bakersfield and Cal State Fullerton for the final round and will tee off beginning at 9:00 a.m.
