Denholm Earns Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week

Irvine, Calif. – This week's Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week is Trenton Denholm of the baseball team. The sophomore pitcher shut down UC Davis on Saturday, leading the team to a 5-2 victory. His performance was instrumental in the 'Eaters sweeping the Aggies in their three-game series.
Denholm pitched his third complete game of the season and only allowed two runs on five hits. At one point, he retired 14 straight batters including his brother Logan. He earned his ninth victory of the year with nine strikeouts to bring his season ERA to a blistering 1.77. Denholm was rewarded for this performance with his fourth Big West Player of the Week honor.
UC Irvine finishes the regular season this week with a three-game series against UC Riverside. Denholm, who is scheduled to pitch in game 2 on Friday, hopes to ride the momentum from this performance and lead the 'Eaters to victory.
