IRVINE, Calif. - The men's track & field team had five individuals compete on the first day of the UC Irvine Spring Break Collegiate Classic Friday at Anteater Stadium.
Senior Jon Rodriguez finished fifth in the steeplechase, clocking in at 9:56.90. Freshmen Sebastian Bautista (15:28.98) and Christian Hernandez (15:30.74) also ran the 5000m.
In the hammer, freshman Sebastian Liu took 12th with a toss of 142-02, while classmate Min Han was 14th.
The 'Eaters are back in action for day two of the UC Irvine Spring Break Collegiate Classic tomorrow, starting with a handful of field events at 10 a.m. Action on the track gets underway with the 4x100 relay at 12 p.m.
