Maria Magaña is back for the 2017 season.
The keeper from Reedley, Calif. is in her third year with the program after transferring from Fresno City College. She made her Anteater debut last season finishing out a 3-0 shutout victory at Idaho State. She's challenging for a starting role in her final season with the program, and we caught up to find out a little bit more about her:
- If you were a chef for a day, what would you cook?
I actually cook almost every day, so on a special occasion I may cook some lasagna, grill some chicken breast, and have a side of fruit salad.
- What is your favorite animal?
Lions because of their strength, and the animal itself is fascinating to me.
- Do you know any other languages?
I speak Spanish, but I would like to learn Portuguese.
- What sport would you play if there was no soccer?
Volleyball, or I'd be a discus thrower for track and field
- What show can you watch for hours on end?
The Office, that show never gets old!
