'EATERS WITH MPSF TESTS UP NORTH:  Eighth-ranked UC Irvine (12-8, 0-3 MPSF) heads north this weekend to face No. 9 Pacific Saturday and fourth-ranked California Sunday in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games.

Coach Marc Hunt's UCI squad is returning to competition after last playing Oct. 14 (an 11-10 loss to Pepperdine).

UCI'S SCORING LEADERS:  Sophomore Mitch Wise leads UCI in scoring with 56 goals and he ranks second in the MPSF at 2.80 goals per game.

Senior Trent Baxter has scored 35 goals, junior Nick Pfeil 33, senior Max Parrague 23 and redshirt freshman Jacob Mourer 20. 

Senior Sam Figueroa and redshirt freshman Alan Robertson have scored 18 goals apiece, juniors Winston Newland and Brian Pickford have 11 each, and redshirt freshman Kyle Kittlitz has 10 goals to complete UCI's double-digit scorers.

IN GOAL:   Redshirt freshman Michael Bailey has 72 saves and ranks first in the MPSF at 11.08 saves per game.  Junior Jimmy Friedrich has 87 saves and sophomore Alex Kazmier 47.

NEXT:  Following this weekend's trip, UCI has three straight home games:  Long Beach State Nov. 3 (7:00 p.m.), Stanford Nov. 6 (12:00 p.m.) and UC San Diego Nov. 9 (7:00 p.m.).
