Biography

He scored five goals in 2010, one each in five separate games....played on the state-championship team at Golden West College...graduate of San Luis Obispo High School....his grandfather, Ted, is the former UCI head coach who won the most games in collegiate water polo...his father, George, was an All-American for the Anteaters...both are members of UCI's Hall of Fame....parents are George Newland and Annabel Young....majoring in political science....named UCI Scholar-Athlete in 2011-12...his older brothers, Ty and Harvey, also played water polo at UCI.
