Keith Chambers is in his first year as an assistant coach with the UC Irvine track & field program.
Chambers came to UCI from Dana Hills High School where he spent the last seven years. He started as an assistant track & field/sprints coach in 2012, before taking over the program in 2016. Chambers was also the Dolphins’ football strength & conditioning coach from 2015-16.
Chambers is a USA Track & Field Certified Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. He has coached international champions, Youth and Masters U.S. National Champions, League Champions and CIF State Medalists.
Chambers graduated from Ohio State in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences/criminology. He was a member of the Buckeyes’ track & field team.
Chambers is a four-time Masters National Champion in the 400m and 800m. In 2013, he won a silver medal as a member of the U.S. 4x400 relay team, and was a finalist in both the 400m and 800m, at the World Masters Championships in Brazil.
