Yu Records Top-20 Finish at Lamkin Invitational

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team finished 14th at the Lamkin Invitational Tuesday at San Diego Country Club.
 
The Anteaters recorded a 5-count-4 total of 895 (295-295-305). Co-host San Diego took home the team title at 26-under 838, while BYU's Kihei Akina was the individual champion at 14-under 202.
 
Sophomore Jack Yu led the 'Eaters with a top-20 showing. Yu tied for 18th with a 54-hole score of 1-under 215 (71-68-76).
 
Senior Rei Harashima had UCI's best 18-hole score of the day, carding an even-par 72 in the final round. He climbed 18 spots into a tie for 66th at 226 (78-76-72).
 
Junior Jason Tang tied for 71st (227), while sophomore Owen Davis-Piger was one stroke back in a tie for 77th (228). Sophomore Tommy Lin rounded out UC Irvine's lineup in a tie for 92nd (238).
 
The Anteaters will be back in action, March 22-24, at the UC San Diego Invitational in La Jolla.
