Jack Yu leads the UC Irvine men's golf team in a tie for fourth through 36 holes of the Lamkin Invitational at San Diego Country Club.

Yu started Monday's action with a 1-under 71, before seeing an improvement in the second round where he fired a season-best 68 (-4) to climb 17 spots in the standings. Yu sits among the top-five at 5-under 139 and is six strokes back of the leader. He had a team-best 10 birdies on the day.

Sophomore
Owen Davis-Piger also saw a big jump with a second-round 71 (-1). Davis-Piger rose 21 spots into a tie for 45th with a 36-hole score of 147 (76-71).

Junior
Jason Tang is tied for 61st with a 150 (70-80), while senior
Rei Harashima is 84th (78-76). Sophomore
Tommy Lin rounded out UCI's lineup in a tie for 91st (78-80).
As a team, the Anteaters are 12th with a 5-count-4 total of 590 (295-295). Co-host San Diego holds a six-stroke lead on the field at 19-under 557.
