Jason Tang came in below par to lead the UC Irvine men's golf team in the second round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Classic Club.

The Anteaters combined for a 294, and are now tied for 14th with a 36-hole score of 583. No. 46 Colorado extended its lead on the 23-team field at 29-under 547 (276-271).

Tang fired five birdies and came in at 2-under 70. He moved up 29 spots into a tie for 44th with a two-round total of even-par 144.

Owen Davis-Piger is tied for 60th at 2-over 146 (69-77), while junior
Rei Harashima is tied for 74th (73-75--148). Sophomore
Jack Yu (149) sits one stroke back in a tie for 76th.

Tommy Lin saw a seven-stroke improvement, posting UCI's second-best score of the second round at 1-over 73. Lin is tied for 101st.

The 'Eaters will close out the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Wednesday, Feb. 25, with the final round scheduled for a 7:45 a.m. shotgun start.
