IRVINE, Calif. – No. 8 UC Irvine collected the 18-8 victory over cross-town opponent Concordia University Irvine on Wednesday evening.

- Jensine Bugelli, Lauren Hett, Maja Layden, Marilynn Hassett, and Vivian Bailey recorded two goals each
- Avy Newton, Kennedy East, Sabina Shackelford, Libby Alexander, Brooke Hourigan, Madi O'Hara, Sara Naulty, and Gabby Norris rounded out the scoring effort
- Rachel Kirchner earned the win in the cage with two saves and an assist in 16 minutes
- Jordan Frost totaled 16 minutes in the net to go along with three saves and an assist
- Airian Grisham and East dished out two assists apiece

Jensine Bugelli softly placed it over the goalkeeper for the first goal…she drew the exclusion then finished off with a power play goal at 3:10, 2-0…
Madi O'Hara moved up and scored up top at 2:33…
Maja Layden added another goal with 48 seconds remaining before Sabina Shackleford deposited it to the top right corner with five seconds left, 5-0

Second Period:
Sara Naulty swam up the right side of the pool and scored at 6:19…Concordia got on the board with a goal from set at 6:02 (6-1)…
Marilynn Hassett squeezed the ball just inside the post on the advantage at 5:34…Following a Golden Eagle goal (5:05),
Kennedy East feed the ball outside to
Gabby Norris who scored from the right side at 3:18…Layden scored again at 2:47…East battled down low,  turned and scored with 1:56 remaining until half…
Libby Alexander skipped it past the keeper at 1:01 (11-2).
Third Period:
Lauren Hett started the scoring at 7:26 then scored again on five-meter penalty at 6:09…Concordia scored the next four, the second from seven meters out, to close to 13-6…
Avy Newton stopped the momentum with a goal in the right corner at 1:00 (14-6) for the final score of the period.
Fourth period:
Brooke Hourigan put it in the back of the cage at 5:57, before Concordia skipped it in, 15-7…
Vivian Bailey got into the scoring column, firing it just under the goalkeeper's arm at 4:20, 16-7…After another CUI goal, Hassett beat the goalie for a score at 1:41, 17-8…Bailey lobbed it in with 31 seconds left for the final score 18-8.
