UC Irvine Places 17 on ACWPC All-Academic Teams

IRVINE, Calif. - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the list of student-athletes named Women's All-Academic in the 2026 season, recognizing their hard work in the classroom. UC Irvine placed 17 players on the list and the 'Eaters were also named to the Team GPA list.
The 2026 list honored 927 student-athletes who demonstrated excellence both in the classroom and in competition. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a grade point average above 3.20. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average, athletes earn Outstanding (4.00-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) or Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition.
Five 'Eaters were all named to the Outstanding list, the highest honors awarded. Anya Frey, Chloe Patist, Ella Walker, Mary Hassett, and Sydney Hagan were awarded for maintaining a GPA above 3.71.
Annabelle Mundelius, Annie Peak, Lauren Hett, Michelle Urkov, and Vivian Bailey were the five Anteaters named to the Superior list.
Bella Calderon, CJ Sirls, Deirdre Murphy, Jess Reagan, Marisol Cowles, Mayezie Loggins, and Sara Naulty were named to the Excellent list, rounding out the list of Anteaters awarded.
UC Irvine was also named to the Team GPA list for maintaining a 3.33 for the 2026 season. UCI was one of 56 universities named to the list.
