'Eaters Compete at Bryan Clay and Beach Invitational

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team started the Beach Invitational Friday at LBSU's Jack Rose Track.
Liam Miksic led the Anteaters in the javelin where he recorded a season-best 205-09 to place 12th out of 35. Quincy Stokes also competed in the hammer throw (169-06).
AJ Sager was the runner-up in the steeplechase with a time of 9:36.48.
Two 'Eaters were in action at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa. Jacob Bustamante crossed the finish line in a lifetime-best 14:28.84 for a top-10 showing in Heat 1 of the 5000m Open A. Zeid Hussain also clocked in at 14:35.55.
UCI will wrap up action at the Beach Invitational and Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday.
