IRVINE, Calif.— The Anteaters will head over to Hope International in Fullerton for their rescheduled match from Feb. 25. The contest is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.

Hope International
Hope International enters the match with a 2-5 record and are on a three-match skid dropping contests to Menlo (0-4), Westcliff (1-4), and Swarthmore (0-7). The Royals had their scheduled match against Rhodes College on Wednesday Mar. 15 canceled due to inclement weather. Hope International has played Big West foe UC Riverside early in their season.
The Royals roster is made up of four newcomers and several transfers.
Notes
- UC Irvine went 1-1 over the last weekend, picking up a win over Utah State (4-2) before dropping to CSUN (1-6) the following day
- The Anteaters went 3-2 in singles action against the Aggies with Asha Gidwani, Amanda Perez, and Haily Huynh winning in straight sets in the No. 3, No. 4, and No.5 spots, respectively
- Doubles action against Utah State had started before Jenna Schlatter was able to finish her singles match at the No. 1 spot, forcing a third set as she came back from behind to win the second
- The duos of Carolyna Fowler/Emily Fowler and Gidwani/Perez won the match for the 'Eaters with their doubles victories
- At CSUN, Gidwani and Perez were trailing 5-4 in their No. 3 doubles contest, but walked away unfinished as the Matadors had completed the sweep
- C. Fowler saw her singles debut after having to shift everyone in the lineup one spot and earned the lone singles point for UCI at the No. 6 position
- The Anteaters and the Royals have only faced off five times in program history and UC Irvine has won all five matchups
