SHOT PUT STREAK
Noah Holm is unbeaten in the shot put in 2022, winning the event in each of his five competitions this season. He established a personal-record 57-02.25 in an individual victory at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational on March 19. That is the top distance in the Big West this year and ranks fifth in school history.

DISCUS PRESENCE
The Anteaters own four of the top-10 discus marks in the Big West this season. Noah Holm leads the way in fourth (183-06), while Jacob Hawkins is fifth (177-09), Kyle Tsu is sixth (173-09) and Justin Willingham is ninth (171-05). Holm, Hawkins and Tsu also rank among UCI's all-time leaders in the event.

NEW FACES
Freshman Liam Miksic (Javelin) is in the midst of an impressive debut season with five top-five finishes, including an individual victory at the Vince O'Boyle T&F Classic where he established a personal-record 206-00. Miksic's mark ranks second in school history in the new javelin, and puts him at No. 2 in the Big West and No. 29 in the West Region this season. Freshman Carlo Reyes and sophomore transfer Ty Sheridan have also had a strong start to their Anteater careers on the track. Reyes set season-bests of 10.82 in the 100m and 22.22 in the 200m, while Sheridan has seen an improvement in his 200m and 400m times in each meet, most recently running lifetime-bests of 21.76 and 48.30, respectively. In addition, Sheridan has been part of UCI's three 4x400 relay wins.

ALL-AMERICAN STATUS
Junior Josh Farmer, who is slated to compete in his first decathlon of the 2022 campaign at the Bryan Clay Invitational, earned second-team All-America honors last year with a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Farmer was the fourth Anteater in program history to compete in the decathlon at the NCAA meet, and first since his father, Matt, took 13th in 1991. The San Diego native qualified for the 2021 national championships with a personal-record 7,648 points in an individual victory at the APU Franson Classic. His PR ranks second in program history and stood as the top score in the Big West for the 2021 season.

BIG WEST CHAMP
Senior Kyle Tsu will be looking to defend his Big West title in the shot put this year. Tsu won the event at the 2021 Big West Championships with a collegiate personal-record 59-05.5. He was UCI's first conference champion in the men's shot put since 2015. Tsu is a two-time NCAA regional qualifier and ranks second in school history.

MAKING THE LEAP
After the cancellation of the 2020 season, and a modified 2021 schedule, senior Seth Enochs has his sights set on returning to the postseason. Enochs qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in the long jump where he finished 15th as a sophomore in 2019. He is a three-time Big West scorer in the event with a high finish of second. Enochs owns a wind-aided lifetime-best 25-04, while his wind-legal PR of 25-00.75 ranks fourth in school history. This year, he picked up an individual victory at the UCSB Invitational (23-07) and had a season-best 23-11.75 in a runner-up performance at the Challenge Cup.
