3 - Amber Huff earned 3 assists in Thursday's win tying a program record set 3 previous times and last by Tanya Taylor in 2010


 · UCI had to claw into the tournament with a 4-1 win Thursday vs. Hawai'I who was also battling for the final spot. A fifth-minute goal by UH brought the nerves, but two goals in the last six minutes of the first half followed by strikes in the 79th and 83rd minutes helped fuel a comeback for the Anteaters and punch a ticket
· Amber Huff matched a program record with three assists on Thursday. It's the fourth time an Anteater has done it and first since Tanya Taylor in 2010. Huff has four this season to tie the team lead, nine in her 71 career matches.
· The Anteaters have a trio of players that reached 50 career matches this season, something 92 Anteaters have reached all-time with Destinee Manzo, Gianna Creighton, and Maddy Chavez this year. Lilli Rask played her 50th career match between UCI and Oregon on Thursday and notched her fourth career goal
· Alyssa Moore collected the game-winner Thursday, the fourth of her career all coming on her last four goals (2021 at UCLA, 2022 vs. Cal, CSUN, and Hawai'i)
· Glo Hinojosa enters the Big West Tournament among the program's goalkeeper leaders. Her career 0.98 GAA is third at UCI, her 23 wins is sixth all-time, 17 shutouts rank fourth in program history, her .634 win percentage is tied for fourth, and she enters with 136 career saves needing 11 to crack the program's top-10.
· UCI reached the Big West Tournament for 13th time in 21 all-time tournaments. Under head coach Scott Juniper, UCI is making its 11th trip and is the defending champion winning their second title along with the 1997 squad. UCI has a 7-10-2 record in the tournament and is seeking its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance.
· The Anteaters and Titans meet for a third time in 2022. Cal State Fullerton won the non-conference matchup in August, 2-1, in Titan Stadium where the sides will be Sunday. The Big West match in October in Anteater Stadium was played to a 0-0 draw. This is the fifth meeting between the programs in the Big West Tournament with CSF advancing each previous time with wins in 2007 and 2017, CSF taking it on PKs in 2012 and 2016, and all previous were in semifinal matches
· Semifinal and final matches will take place at Cal Poly after they won the regular season title. If UCI advances through Sunday, they would head to San Luis Obispo to play the 2-seed UC Davis on Thursday, November 3
· The 2022 field has Cal Poly and UC Davis earning byes to the semifinals. In the other first round matchup on Sunday, UC Santa Barbara will head to Long Beach State with the advancing team taking on Cal Poly on Thursday. Overtime returns for tournament play with no golden goal and the entire two 10-minute periods played.
