UCI Posts Three Event Wins on Second Day of Split Meet

RIVERSIDE & LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team had three event wins Friday at the UC Riverside Sprints Invitational and the LBSU Throws Fest.
For the second meet in a row, Malcolm Overbaugh established a personal record in the 200m. He won the event with a time of 21.53, cutting two-tenths of a second off his previous best from last week's OC Dual.
Overbaugh also teamed up with Miles Duncan, Tobi Adegoke and Eric Parker to win the 4x400 relay in 3:14.80.
Duncan was the runner-up in the 800m, clocking a lifetime-best 1:52.87, while Parker took third in the 400m.
Jarel Sayles notched a personal-best 14.43 for a second-place performance in the 110m hurdles. Sayles has finished among the top-two in all seven of his 110H races this year. Tobi Adegoke added a season-best 14.82 to come in fifth.
Over in Long Beach, Kyle Tsu won the shot put with a toss of 57-05, while Noah Holm was the runner-up at 54-00.
Holm was also second in the discus with a personal-record 176-02. He remained at No. 9 in school history. Tsu (169-00) and Jacob Hawkins (166-06) each added a top-10 finish.
Jack Pickard took second in the javelin (195-00), and Justin Willingham notched a lifetime-best 155-09 in the hammer.
The Anteaters will be back in action tomorrow with the jumps portion of the LBSU Throws/Jumps Fest.
