
UC Irvine Closes out Beach Invitational

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team wrapped up action at the Beach Invitational Saturday at Jack Rose Track.
Freshman Jarel Sayles claimed runner-up honors in the 110m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.76 seconds (-1.1w). He came in behind only USC's Omotade Ojora.
Freshman Eric Parker was the Anteaters' top finisher in the 200m, placing fifth overall with a time of 22.65 seconds. Senior Seth Enochs was right behind him in sixth (22.95).
Junior Malcolm Overbaugh had a fourth-place showing in the 400m (48.95), while Parker was fifth (49.29).
Overbaugh, Miles Duncan, Tobi Adegoke and Parker also competed in the 4x400 relay (3:17.92).
In the long jump, Enochs took third with a leap of 22-09.75, and Adegoke was fourth (20-08).
UC Irvine is back in action next Thursday, April 22, when it hosts Cal State Fullerton in the OC Dual.
