'Eaters Dropped by USC on Day Two of Barbara Kalbus Invite

IRVINE, Calif. - The Anteaters allowed three goals off penalty shots, which proved to be the difference as No. 6 UC Irvine fell to No. 4 USC, 10-7, Saturday morning on day two of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.
UC Irvine falls to 10-5 on the season, while USC improves to 10-1 overall.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
> The Anteaters offensive effort was widespread, with Toni Shackelford, Kili Skibby, Kayleigh Schultz, Elena Flynn, Jessica Lynch, Isabel Rack, and Megan Falcon each scoring one goal.
> Morgan Jones played all four quarters in goal, tallying four saves.
> The Anteaters out-shot the Trojans 26-19, but USC shot .526 (10-19) compared to just .269 (7-26) for UC Irvine.
