
UC Irvine Continues Busy Week at Bryan Clay, Beach Invite

AZUSA, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team had three individuals compete in the 1500m on the final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday evening at Cougar Stadium.
Junior Sam Ayala, who ran in the invitational section, led the trio with a time of 3:52.65, which was just over a second off his lifetime best.
In the 1500m Open, junior Hector Garcia clocked in at 3:56.37, while senior Ashton Garcia came in at 4:00.30.
Over in Long Beach, junior Jack Pickard started the Beach Invitational in the javelin. He finished 31st out of 57 with a toss of 187-07.
The Anteaters will return to LBSU's Jack Rose Track tomorrow for the second and final day of the Beach Invitational.
